We have had a fantastic weeks stay at Croft Cottage. It has been a stunning & peaceful location to come and visit. It's great for both Coast & Countryside walks. We have walked the Simonside hills, Cheviot Hills and Thrunton Woods with our labrador Zeus and visited Alnwick and Bamburgh and Beadness. Bamburgh beach was stunning. The cottage is well equipped and the log burner was great in the dark wet evenings. Owners Nick & Oonagh could not have been more helpful, they make you feel very welcome and nothing was too much to ask. Thank you and we hope to return again.

We have had a lovely week in this peaceful and beautiful location. The cottage is well appointed with everything we needed. The view is simply outstanding, especially on a clear and sunny day. Thank you Nick & Oonagh, we hope to see you again.

Another enjoyable and peaceful stay. It has been interesting being in the Croft Cottage after our stay in Keeper's Cottage earlier in the year. One seems more cosy and the other more crisp & modern but both excellent! In particular, of course, the view from the Croft is unmatchable. Even though rather dull weather this week it has never been less than beautiful. Since we were only staying a week we have done very little sightseeeing as we have been visiting friends & favourite coffee places. Alnmouth beach was 'breezy' but magical as ever - though no sign of Gwen with her ice cream van which was a shame! After a busy summer, staying here has been a much-needed and peaceful break before the pre-Christmas rush & the rest of winter. Many thanks again Nick & Oonagh, all your attention to details ensures a very comfortable & homely stay. We are looking forward to our next visit in May already.

A fantastic cottage in absolutely stunning location. This is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in, so beautifully decorated with everything you could need for a stay. Nick & Oonagh were perfect hosts - so friendly & accomodating. We had a great stay and loved visiting the cottage as a base to explore the beautiful Northumberland. Perfect location for our dog and Nick was great letting us use the fields as a walk - he absolutely loved running in all the open space. We will definitely come to stay again & recommend to friends & family. Will miss those fantastic hills. Thank you so much Nick & Oonagh.

Wow! Nick & Oonagh you are so lucky to live in such a wonderful and beautiful area! We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, exploring the different areas of Northumberland. Think we need to stay longer next time as so much to see. Your cottage is FANTASTIC!! We couldn't have asked for more - so peaceful, beautiful, and wonderfully decorated - Thank you for being great hosts - we don't want to leave. Thank you.

We think this is the best cottage we have ever stayed in by a long way, the fittings and the views are outstanding. Wanted to see the Chillingham Wild White Cattle which I just heard about in my childhood, so it is a lifetime ambition fulfilled. We came by chance as they were having a special open day. We had a tractor & trailer special tour and my sister & brother in law were thrilled. 800 years they have been there at least, and do not be deceived by their mild manners, they are killers, no beast has ever been retruned to the land, the smell of human touch is enough to drive them out any that have been separated.

Fabulous stay, lovely house, great view. We all really enjoyed our stay here, thank you. Enjoying exploring the area, went to Cragside today, should probably have spent a few days looking round the gardens there!

It's difficult to find the right words to describe the wonderful stay I have had. This is a very special place. It has been hard to take my eyes off the magnificent view, which is ever changing with the weather and time of day. And the cottage itself is simply stunning. Thank you Nick and Oonagh for doing it all so beautifully and to such a high standard. It makes staying here a real pleasure. Its also been brilliant for exploring coast and country all of which has been a delight. This has been my first taste of Northumberland but I reckon I will be back.

This is our first stay at Croft Cottage, absolutely fabulous place. Everything is spot on. Have really enjoyed our week here. The views are fantastic. The weather has been cold all week but we have managed two walks on Simonside, out to the coast at Warkworth, lovely beach, nearly had it all to ourselves. Coming back in September to Keepers Cottage where we have stayed before.
