The Coast & Islands
With more than 30 miles of beaches the Northumbrian Coast is spectacular. Farne Island is a fantastic day trip and a chance to see puffins and seals.
Nearby Castles

Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England. Alnwick Castle and Bamburgh Castle are our local favourites.
Alnwick

Alnwick is our closest town and is full of history. Filming location for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, you can spend hours exploring the cobbled streets, gardens and tea rooms.
Cragside Estate

The first home in the world to be powered by hydroelectricity. A beautiful Victorian house with stunning gardens, it offers fun for the whole family.
Get Active

Northumberland's wild outdoor space is perfect for adventuring activities of all kinds. Mountain biking, watersports, fishing and golf can all be found nearby.
ABOUT BURRADON
The Burradon Cottages are located in Upper Coquetdale, approx 7 miles from the village of Rothbury. Based just outside the Northumberland National Park we are surrounded by stunning countryside, south facing with great views of the Simonside Hills in front of us and the Cheviots behind - a perfect location to explore Northumberland.

We are within the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park which means it is the ideal place to stargaze and enjoy the night skies on a clear night without light pollution. https://www.visitnorthumberland.com/darkskies

We love sharing our beautiful part of the world with visitors. We have been welcoming holiday makers to Keepers Cottage for over 10 years. Many of our guests return year after year and some have come every year since we first started!

We hope to meet you soon.
